Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) Thursday made it clear he was happy to have made his Republican colleague James Comer (R-KY) “cringe.”
Moskowitz, who is no stranger to ridiculing Trump and the Republican Party, took to social media and posted a video of himself about to speak in a hearing.
“I’m always happy when I can make Jamie Raskin smile and James Comer cringe simultaneously,” he wrote accompanying the video.

In the video, Comer is introducing two people, but is informed that it was actually Moskowitz’s turn to speak. Comer noticeably reacted and said, “We’ll go to Moskowitz then,” to laughter.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Chairman, it won’t be the usual,” Moskowitz then says.
Comer has been the head of a series of investigations into President Joe Biden and his family, most notably the impeachment inquiry, which most political observers now regard to be a failure and which even Comer himself is now reportedly searching for a way out of.
Broadly, the impeachment investigation is probing whether the president ever laundered international bribes through the overseas business dealings of his son Hunter. However, they have not found any hard evidence that Biden was even involved in these business ventures at all, with even many of their own witnesses acknowledging they had not seen any indication of this.
Moskowitz has often been at the center of pointing out the GOP’s lack of proof in hearings, at various points even daring Comer to call a vote on articles of impeachment with the knowledge that even a critical mass of Republicans have not been convinced.
Comer, for his part, continues to publicly defend the impeachment inquiry as important and productive, and insists that it has uncovered damaging information about Biden — but seems to be in little rush to advance to a vote on impeachment
